Weight restrictions meant built-in planters were not possible, so custom-made fibre cement planters were installed. High prevailing winds and lots of offshore mist meant the plant palette had to be tough enough to handle this exposed position. West coast succulents made up the bulk of the planting plan, with a touch of grass to add a whimsical element that dances in the wind.
The project's restrictions were minimal work space for all contractors and only one day to crane up all our material.
